Characteristics and Applications
This welding wire is designed for welding base metals with high magnesium content and high tensile strength requirements, such as 5083/5654 base metals, and demonstrates excellent seawater corrosion resistance. It features superior welding process performance, with attractive weld formation and minimal spatter. It is applicable for welding aluminum alloy components in industries including shipbuilding, railway locomotive manufacturing and automotive manufacturing.
Precautions
1.Adopt open-arc automatic welding, TIG welding or high-power plasma welding. Use 100% argon (Ar) as the shielding gas.
2.Ensure a well-shielded welding site with wind protection measures to prevent the dissipation of shielding gas, which may induce welding defects.
3.Thoroughly remove oil stains, oxide films and other contaminants from the welding area prior to welding.
