Characteristics and Applications
The MSM-SNi6276 welding wire is mainly used for welding Inconel C-276 alloy and other nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys via MAG, MIG, TIG, CMT or plasma welding processes, and can also be applied for surfacing on steel surfaces. This welding material demonstrates excellent corrosion resistance in various aggressive media, especially in terms of pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. The welding wire is suitable for dissimilar material welding, including the joining of Inconel C-276 alloy with other nickel alloys, stainless steel and low-alloy steel.
Precautions
1.MIG, TIG or other applicable welding processes can be adopted. The shielding gas shall be pure argon, argon-rich mixed gas or other applicable gases.
2.Thoroughly remove oil stains, moisture, dust, oxide films and other contaminants from the groove and its adjacent areas before welding.
3.A reliable wind-shielded facility shall be provided at the welding site to avoid diminishing the shielding effect of the gas.
4.For multi-layer and multi-pass welding, the interpass temperature shall not exceed 100℃.
5.When using non-consumable electrode filler wire welding processes such as TIG, plasma welding and laser welding, the shielding gas shall be 99.99% argon.
