Characteristics and Applications
The MSM-SNi6625 welding wire is mainly used for welding Inconel 625 alloy, Incoloy 825/25-6Mo alloy and other molybdenum-containing stainless steels via MAG, MIG, TIG, CMT or plasma welding processes, and can also be applied for surfacing on steel surfaces. This welding wire is also suitable for submerged arc welding, which can be used to weld Inconel 625 alloy or nickel steel, or conduct surfacing on steel surfaces. The weld metal exhibits high strength and resistance to localized corrosion such as pitting and crevice corrosion over a wide temperature range. The MSM-SNi6625 welding wire features a broad application scope, and can be used for dissimilar material welding, such as the joining of Inconel series alloys and Incoloy series alloys.
Precautions
1.MIG, TIG or other applicable welding processes can be adopted. The shielding gas shall be pure argon, argon-rich mixed gas or other applicable gases.
2.Thoroughly remove oil stains, moisture, dust, oxide films and other contaminants from the groove and its adjacent areas before welding.
3.A reliable wind-shielded facility shall be provided at the welding site to avoid diminishing the shielding effect of the gas.
4.For multi-layer and multi-pass welding, the interpass temperature shall not exceed 100℃.
5.When using non-consumable electrode filler wire welding processes such as TIG, plasma welding and laser welding, the shielding gas shall be 99.99% argon.
