Characteristics & Applications
This aluminum-silicon alloy welding wire is suitable for welding heat-treatable base metals. It has high resistance to hot cracking and can be used for welding cast and forged aluminum materials. Featuring excellent welding process performance, it ensures neat weld formation, stable electric arc and minimal spatter. It is applicable for aluminum alloy welding in shipbuilding, chemical industry, railway locomotives and other related fields.
The multi-strand stranded aluminum alloy welding wire enables the MIG welding arc to rotate with wire feeding, which exerts a real-time stirring effect on the molten pool. This helps eliminate gas pores and slag inclusions in the melt, promotes uniform composition of the weld seam, and reduces welding heat input, thus ensuring high weld quality.
Precautions
1.Adopt open-arc automatic welding, TIG welding or high-power plasma welding. The shielding gas shall be 100% argon (Ar).
2.The welding site must be well shielded from wind to prevent the dissipation of shielding gas and avoid welding defects.
3.Oil stains, oxide films and other contaminants on the welding area must be thoroughly removed.
