Characteristics & Applications
MSM-WH10Mn2-G/65GX/70GX/80GX (matched with SJ101/HJ431 fluxes) is a submerged arc welding wire designed for high-strength steels with a yield strength of ≥390 MPa or a tensile strength of ≥600 MPa. Through microalloy composition adjustment, it is applicable for welding oil pipeline steels such as X65, X70 and X80. It features low welding consumption ratio, excellent porosity resistance and good slag detachability, delivering smooth and uniform weld beads as well as superior weldability. High deposition efficiency and high impact toughness can be achieved. This welding wire is suitable for multi-pass welding, and demonstrates particularly good weldability when used with a single-power source.
Trace alloying elements including Mo, B and Ti are added to the wire, and microalloying is realized by controlling the controlled rolling and cooling process. While improving weld strength, it significantly enhances low-temperature impact toughness, with a low-temperature impact value of approximately 200 J at -20℃, 140 J at -40℃, and 90 J at -60℃. This product is widely used in shipbuilding, offshore engineering, pressure vessels, petroleum pipelines, steel structures and other fields.
The microalloy material does not require a copper-plating process during processing, and no toxic chemicals are used in the production. It is a purely environmentally friendly mechanical processing product.
Precautions
1.As a neutral flux, it shall be baked at 350℃ for 1 hour before use. Keep it dry to prevent the formation of porosity.
2.High wire feed speed welding is allowed.
3.When reusing the flux, mix it with an appropriate amount of new flux to ensure good welding quality.
