Characteristics and Applications
MSM-WNi6054 welding wire is mainly used for welding Inconel 690 alloy by MAG, MIG, TIG, CMT or plasma welding processes. It is also applicable for surfacing on the surfaces of carbon steel and stainless steel to form a nickel-chromium corrosion-resistant alloy coating.
Its high chromium content provides it with excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in pure water environments under radiation conditions. This product can also be used in applications requiring resistance to oxidizing acid corrosion, as well as for dissimilar material joining of Inconel and Incoloy alloys.
Precautions
1.Applicable for MIG, TIG or other suitable welding processes. The shielding gas can be pure argon, argon-rich mixture gas or other applicable gases.
2.Before welding, thoroughly clean the weld groove and its adjacent areas to remove oil stains, moisture, dust, oxide films and other contaminants.
3.A reliable windproof shield shall be provided at the welding site to avoid reducing the shielding effect of the gas.
4.For multi-pass welding, the interpass temperature shall not exceed 100℃.
5.When using non-consumable electrode filler wire welding processes such as TIG, plasma welding and laser welding, the shielding gas shall be 99.99% Ar.
